Programs and Services
The Grove Family Services is developing a Foster Family Agency to recruit, prepare, and support foster families. We're also preparing to launch Family Time, a supervised visitation program in partnership with Alameda County.
What We Offer
Foster Family Agency
A Foster Family Agency (FFA) recruits, approves, and supports resource families who provide safe, nurturing homes for children and youth in foster care. FFAs partner with county child welfare agencies to coordinate care and support children and families throughout their foster care journey.
The Grove is working toward licensure as an FFA serving Alameda County. Our approach centers on strong relationships, intentional support, and a commitment to permanency, prioritizing safe family reunification whenever possible.
Family Time creates a safe, welcoming environment for court-ordered visits between children in foster care and their families, allowing them to spend meaningful time together.
More than traditional supervised visitation, our four-phase model integrates parent coaching, individualized goals, and opportunities for increasing independence. Through intentional support and relationship-building, we help families strengthen parenting skills and work toward safe reunification.
Family Time is provided in partnership with Alameda County, which directly refers and assigns participating families.

What We Provide
Recruitment & Approval
We partner with churches, friends and community organizations to connect with prospective resource families, guide them through the approval process, and prepare them to welcome children and youth into their homes.
Training & Support
We equip resource families through thoughtful preparation, ongoing training, case management, and personalized guidance. Our relationship-centered approach helps families feel connected and supported throughout their foster care journey.
Therapeutic Care
We are building therapeutic care into our Foster Family Agency model, with plans to hire an in-house clinician to provide therapy for children and youth, resource families, and birth families. This approach will support healing, strengthen relationships, and promote the well-being of the whole family.
Permanency Planning
We work collaboratively with resource families, birth families, and county partners to support each child's path toward permanency. We prioritize safe family reunification whenever possible while preserving meaningful relationships, cultural connections, and a lasting sense of belonging.
